1. Ensure the Case File has already been created. See article

  2. In the DEX CM Main Menu select Case Files enter Client Name in Search and then select Edit 


ADD CLIENTS


  1. Select on the Clients tab then select + Add client

  1. The Add Client window will be displayed. 

  1. Select clients from the Participant drop down list. 

  2. Enter Referral Source - The person or agency that directs a client to your organization.

  3. Enter Primary Reason for Seeking Assistance -  The main reason a client sought help from your organization. This is used to inform service planning and better respond to clients' presenting needs.

  4. Enter Other Reasons for Assistance -  The secondary reason why the person has sought help from your organization. 

  5. Select Add


REMEMBER TO CHOOSE MORE THAN ONE CLIENT FOR COMMUNITY SCORES


ADD SESSIONS

  1. Select on the Sessions tab then select + Add client

  2. In the Sessions pane, select +Add

  3. In the Add Case Sessions window enter 

    1. Session ID - a numeric code or title that uniquely identifies a particular instance or episode of service

    2. Date / Time - the time the service was delivered. 

    3. Duration - the Hours/minutes of the service

    4. Unidentified participants - refers to the total number of people who attend an event or service when it's too difficult or not practical to collect personal details from each person

    5. Select Add


ASSIGN CLIENTS


  1. Select on the Session, move your cursor and select the Session Date


  1. Select on the Participants pane and select + Add

  2. In the Add Session Participant window select

    1. Choose Participants - clients that have been added to the Case File

    2. In Participant Type choose Client or Support Person

    3. Internal Referral - when a client is directed to another service within the same organization.

    4. External Referral - when a client is directed to a service provided by a different organization.


  1. The Sessions Detail pane will be displayed, select Edit to change 

    1. DEX Case Session ID

    2. Session Date

    3. Duration

    4. Unidentified Participants

    5. Interpreter Present

    6. Service type -  the main focus for a session of service delivered.

    7. Service Settings - the location where services are provided

    8. Topic - the reason why a client is accessing a service

    9. Hardship Type - the client’s primary cause of difficulty or concern

    10. Referral Destination - the client’s referral to another service

    11. Money Business Community Education Workshop Code - choose a specific financial wellbeing and capability programs

        5. Select Save
