For images displayed on our activity card and pages, Social Planet uses a 16:9 ratio. This is the image size used mostly on computer displays and tablet computers. It's essential to use high-quality, royalty-free images and keep all your image file sizes between 60kb and 200kb.
Say we're putting an image not in the 16:9 ratio for our activity; this image looks fine on the activity card.
But it doesn’t look great on the activity page.
So, how can we resize this image to a 16:9 ratio? For one, you can resize your image using the BeFunky image editor.
Upload your image to BeFunky, click Crop and the Freeform top header, scroll down and select Photo 16x9.
When saving the image file, don’t add apostrophes or brackets into the image file name. These characters may cause upload issues on Social Planet.
Now, to upload the image to the activity.
From the Frontdesk, head to the Activities header, click Current and then Edit on the activity of your choice.
In the Details tab, click Edit the Basic Info panel. Upload image.
Much better, our image now takes up less space on the activity page, allowing customers to reach booking options quicker.
Note – Social Planet recommends Unsplash.com for high-resolution, royalty-free images.
