Social Planet employs Markdown, an easy-to-use markup language you can use to format your activity description.


  1. When you press Add Activity+, you can use Markdown to make formatting changes to your Description.

    • For bold text, enter two asterisks e.g. ** sentence**.

    • For italics text, enter one asterisk e.g. *sentence*.

    • For heading text, use # for Heading 1 ## for Heading 2 ### Heading 3

    • For an ordered list, enter in –

      1. First item

      2. Second item

      3. Third item


Alternatively, you can enter this information once the activity has been created.

  1. From the Frontdesk, head to the Activities header, click Current and then Edit on the activity of your choice.

  2. In the Details tab, click Edit on the Basic Info panel. 

  3. Format with the above tools in the Description section, then press Save.
